ABOUT BATS IN THE MARCO SENIOR LEAGUE
Keep in mind that by league rule, promulgated in the interest of safety, all bats used in ALL divisions of the Marco Senior Softball League must bear either the A.S.A 2000 , the A.S.A. 2004 stamp , the ASA 2013 Certification Mark (Slow Pitch ONLY) or the new USA stamps. However, there are some bats that bear these stamps, but were later tested in the field by U.S.A. and were found to exceed U.S.A. standards. These bats were found to be "hotter" after their break in period and therefore were disqualified. Bats cannot be a senior or USSA bat unless they also have the USA or ASA Emblem/Symbol .
Bats with the approved certification, and not on the NON-APPROVED BATS” bat list are approved for use in the Marco Island Senior Softball League.
